Path to Maturity

This teaching stream will explore God’s plan for our maturation—the Path to Maturity.

Israel was called out of Egypt to go through the Wilderness and into the Land. Entering the the Land represents the church ultimately receiving its kingdom inheritance over the earth, fulfilling the Cultural Mandate (Gen 1:28; Mtt 28:18-20). Nonetheless, personally and corporately, learning the lessons of the Wilderness is the process of qualification—the Path to Maturity.

5 Books on the Christian Perspective of Suffering

5 Books on the Christian Perspective of Suffering

The plight of man in a world marred by sin and death demands that one make sense of the suffering that grips every person in various forms and degrees. A person’s world-and-life-view – their underlying convictions concerning the origin, nature, meaning and destiny of man and the world – will inform one’s response to suffering. For the unregenerate, believing a lie that … [Read more...]

5 Books to Recover the Priority of Prayer in an Age of Pragmatism

In an age of distraction, governed by the pragmatic principle 'whatever works is right', what place does prayer have in our personal and church life? Is it really that important? Shouldn't we just get on with the 'real' work of the church; whether in personal and familial living, church equipping and programming, or cultural engagement and transformation? Luther once said: … [Read more...]

Path to Maturity

God’s plan is for our maturation. Therefore let us leave the elementary doctrine of Christ and go on to maturity. Hebrews 6:1 Israel was called out of Egypt to go through the Wilderness and into the Land. The perennial problem of God’s people is that they find an oasis, an emphasis of truth or a supernatural experience, and camp there instead of continuing the … [Read more...]

The Believer’s Greatest Ability: The DNA of the new kingdom order

The Believer’s Greatest Ability: The DNA of the new kingdom order

Make me know Your ways, O LORD; Teach me Your paths.   Psalms 25:4 To fear the Lord is to be taught of the Lord. In fact, the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom. But this wisdom is so beyond human ken it must be supernatural. Therefore, only by imbibing the “spirit of the fear of the Lord” (Isa 11:2) will we be filled with the desire and the ability to learn His … [Read more...]

The Message

21st century Western man is now living in the moral debris of the 20th century experiment—the experiment of messianic statism – Marxist, Fascist, and now secular Humanist – with its rejection of God in Christ as the genius of the Western cultural heritage. Spiritually, morally, and financially bankrupt the West has now exhausted its options.

Our message despite the historic failure of humanity, including the church, is one of certainty and hope. God has a purpose for history and for nations—for their governance, prosperity, and peace. God’s plan for the planet is more than adequate for its crisis. Lifemessenger is committed to speaking a prophetically pertinent word to church and culture.
