In the face of the ugliness of a sin ravaged world, mired in wars and bloodshed, despair and disease, brokenness and corruption, Ern illuminates the beauty of God’s plan. This plan, purposed before time, began in Eden, continued in Canaan, and was fulfilled in the coming of Christ. With the inauguration of Christ’s kingdom on earth through his atoning work, God’s Spirit-filled people are now to demonstrate, individually and corporately, the beauty of this plan – the gospel of the kingdom God – before all men and nations.

It brings correction to the distortion of God’s person through an overemphasis of one attribute over another, cautions the pursuit of charisma at the cost of character, and provides sound counsel in what it is to truly know the glory of God.
