The ‘Rapture’—The Futurist’s Escape Plan: Studies In Eschatology

The ‘Rapture’—The Futurist’s Escape Plan: Studies In Eschatology

What exactly is the “Rapture” and what are the different arguments for it? Do they hold up under scrutiny and, if not, is there a critical flaw? While the scope of this study does not allow a full analysis of them, we will show two foundational presuppositions behind the “Rapture” teaching: 1) The Dispensational and Premillennial view of eschatology; and 2) A literal and … [Read more...]

The Message of The Kingdom of God: Studies in Daniel

The Message of The Kingdom of God: Studies in Daniel

The genius of the book of Daniel is its proclamation of the Kingdom of God, its prophecies setting forth the victory of Christ in history over all humanistic/statist pretensions to sovereignty—to ultimate authority. Its message, therefore, has political implications: Christ, the King of kings, is sovereign over the state, commanding all kings and governments to bow the knee to … [Read more...]

Sovereignty & The Pagan Power-State: Studies in Daniel

Sovereignty & The Pagan Power-State: Studies in Daniel

Divine Sovereignty: asserted by Daniel  Every chapter of this book clearly asserts the sovereignty of God. In referring to the lesson of fulfilled prophecy that Daniel provides for the church, the translator’s preface to Calvin’s commentary on Daniel points out that, “they [fulfilled prophecies] display His ceaseless dominion over the wills of Sovereigns and over the destinies … [Read more...]

Romans: The Universality of Judgement & Justification, Part 4b

EXPOSITION: Chapter 3:1-31 In v. 1-8 the apostle continues to address the Jews, although, he now rhetorically poses the potential conclusions (v. 1, 3, 5, 7, 8) from the previous passage (2:17-29), asserting that they are fallacious (v. 2, 4, 6, 9). He has so radically redefined the Jew that it begs the question of: 1) their advantage above the Gentiles; 2) the value of … [Read more...]

Romans: Caesar & Christ—Gospel Declared, Part 2

EXPOSITION: Chapter   1:1-17 Purpose & Theme  1:1-7 — Paul's Salutation 1-2       "Paul, a servant of Christ Jesus, called to be an apostle, set apart for the gospel of God, 2 which he promised beforehand through his prophets in the holy Scriptures"—While possessing intimate elements, Paul's opening salutation (longer than any other Pauline epistle) is in the style of … [Read more...]

The Message

21st century Western man is now living in the moral debris of the 20th century experiment—the experiment of messianic statism – Marxist, Fascist, and now secular Humanist – with its rejection of God in Christ as the genius of the Western cultural heritage. Spiritually, morally, and financially bankrupt the West has now exhausted its options.

Our message despite the historic failure of humanity, including the church, is one of certainty and hope. God has a purpose for history and for nations—for their governance, prosperity, and peace. God’s plan for the planet is more than adequate for its crisis. Lifemessenger is committed to speaking a prophetically pertinent word to church and culture.
