Worldview
This teaching stream explores Worldview.
A worldview is an overall view of the world. It’s an all-encompassing perspective on everything that exists and matters to us.
A person’s worldview, knowingly or not, reflects how they would answer the “big questions” of human existence: who and what we are, where we came from, how we ought to live and the meaning of life. In short, a person's worldview answers the questions of origins, meaning, morality and destiny. A worldview inclines us toward certain kinds of answers and away from others. Like spectacles with coloured lenses, they affect what we see and how we see it.
Worldviews determine people’s opinions on matters of ethics. What a person thinks about abortion, euthanasia, same-sex relationships, environmental ethics, economic policy, and so on will depend on certain underlying pre-commitments, their worldview.
Worldviews play a defining role in our lives. They shape what we believe, how we interpret our experiences, and how we behave and relate to others. Our thoughts and our actions are conditioned by our worldview.

The Image of God: A Biblical View of Man
What is it to be human? There is much at stake in how this vital question is answered. How one answers will differ according to one’s view of reality. And one’s view of reality, with its particular understanding of human nature, directly shapes and governs the values by which one seeks to live. The prevailing evolutionary worldview of secular humanism in the West over the … [Read more...]
5 Books to Equip You to Respond to the Cultural Crisis
In the face of an aggressive secularist vision gaining continuous momentum throughout the Western world, without a clear biblical vision of God's sovereign purpose in history it is easy to become disillusioned and discouraged, inclining Christians to either a capitulation to the culture or a pietistic retreat from it. Combating both these tendencies, these 5 books will equip … [Read more...]
