New Earth

This teaching stream explores God’s purpose from Creation to New Creation—for a New Earth.

It explores how the Adam-Christ parallel explicates God’s redemptive purpose for history, from Creation to De-Creation (Fall), climaxing with Re-Creation (Christ); in fact, a New Heavens and a New Earth—a restored cosmos. It also demonstrates the principle of Adam and Christ's covenant headship, the former leading to curse and historical judgements, and the latter to blessing and human flourishing.

God’s Beautiful Plan

July 17, 2019 by W. J. Ern Baxter (1914-1993)

God’s Beautiful Plan

In the face of the ugliness of a sin ravaged world, mired in wars and bloodshed, despair and disease, brokenness and corruption, Ern illuminates the beauty of God’s plan. This plan, purposed before time, began in Eden, continued in Canaan, and was fulfilled in the coming of Christ. With the inauguration of Christ’s kingdom on earth through his atoning work, God’s Spirit-filled … [Read more...]

Resurrection & The Holy Spirit: A Neglected Emphasis

June 17, 2018 by W. J. Ern Baxter (1914-1993)

Resurrection & The Holy Spirit: A Neglected Emphasis

A Neglected Emphasis, Part 1 Ern begins this series with a brief overview of church history. Establishing the resurrection as the central proclamation of the early church, he highlights how it has been sorely neglected in the centuries following the apostolic era up to the present day. Without minimising the importance of the impeccable life of Jesus or his atoning work on the … [Read more...]

Romans: Kingdom through Covenant, Part 1

Romans: Kingdom through Covenant, Part 1

The question will be asked, why another commentary on Romans? First, because Romans provides the ABC's of the Gospel, it is Christianity 101. From the early church to the present day, it has been recognised as the foundational teaching of Christianity, providing the Bible's most complete statement concerning God's purpose for humankind, its fall from that purpose, and his … [Read more...]

The Incarnation: Renovation of the Cosmos

The Incarnation: Renovation of the Cosmos

Now the birth of Jesus Christ took place in this way. When his mother Mary had been betrothed to Joseph, before they came together she was found to be with child from the Holy Spirit. And her husband Joseph, being a just man and unwilling to put her to shame, resolved to divorce her quietly. But as he considered these things, behold, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a … [Read more...]

God’s World Purpose: The Gospel of the Garden, the Land & the Kingdom

God’s World Purpose: The Gospel of the Garden, the Land & the Kingdom

Ern Baxter MP3 Teaching Series: The Gospel of the Garden Part 1 One of the most devastating strategies in our time against the victory of the Gospel is the dualistic view of man’s salvation in escape from this world, postponing victory to a future heavenly realm. Nevertheless, counter to this, there is a recovery underway to reclaim God’s original world purpose and … [Read more...]

The Message

21st century Western man is now living in the moral debris of the 20th century experiment—the experiment of messianic statism – Marxist, Fascist, and now secular Humanist – with its rejection of God in Christ as the genius of the Western cultural heritage. Spiritually, morally, and financially bankrupt the West has now exhausted its options.

Our message despite the historic failure of humanity, including the church, is one of certainty and hope. God has a purpose for history and for nations—for their governance, prosperity, and peace. God’s plan for the planet is more than adequate for its crisis. Lifemessenger is committed to speaking a prophetically pertinent word to church and culture.
